Arsons affecting Telecom services in Southern District, 2:00am

Police are investigating several suspected arsons in Wanaka where Telecom roadside cabinets containing Telecom equipment have been damaged.

As a result of the damage caused to these cabinets, some land line telephones in the area will not be operable.

Consequently some users will not be able to call 111 on a land line telephone. Cell phones in the area are not affected by the damage to the cabinets.
