Fatal crash in Waikato

At about 11.10 a.m., Police were called to the scene of a fatal car crash, on State Highway 26, Komata, Hauraki District. A 78 year old Hauraki man is dead after he attempted a u-turn into the path of a northbound Mazda Ute. The crash occurred near the intersection of Rangiora Road, Komata. The driver of the ute was the only other person involved and was unhurt. The Highway is now open.
