District council listens to caravanNers

A new Motorhome Dump Site has been constructed on Esk Road, Stratford.

Stratford District Council Operations Manager John Jones says a new bulk effluent discharge point was required to comply with the resource consent for the Stratford Oxidation Plant. “At the same time we recalled a submission from the Motor Caravan Association to the 2008/09 Annual Plan requesting a second caravan dump point in Stratford.”

“It seemed an ideal opportunity to add this feature into the new bulk effluent facility, which is located north of the Esk Road / Regan Street intersection,” John said.

The facility has been constructed over the previous month and is now operational.
