Fatal Crash in Waikato District, 3:40pm 20 Jun

Police are presently at the scene of a fatal vehicle crash on the Kopu-Hikuai Road, Kopu, Thames. This is also known as State Highway 25A.

This area of the State Highway is closed at present so road diversions in place.

The entrance to SH25A is closed at SH25/25A/26 Kopu. Also at the other end of SH25A with SH25.

At the Kopu end of SH25A motorists will need to travel down State Highway 26 to Paeroa then on to State Highway 2 to Waihi then into SH25 to Whangamata.

To travel North motorists will need to travel through Thames up to Coromandel and across to Whitianga.
