ice on roads in Tasman District, 1:00am

Motorists are 'Warned' to take extreme care when travelling on South Island roads as current reports in the Nelson - Blenhiem area advise of the worst ice on the roads seen by roading contractors in the past 20 years.

Several vehicles have already slid off roads as a result of ice.

All areas will be effected by ice and drivers should 'Drive to the conditions'
