The New Zealand "Pinestars" team that is to contest a test match against Australia in early October has been announced by the New Zealand Orienteering Federation.

The mens team includes James Bradshaw, who has recently been diagnosed with two stress fractures in one of his feet. Bradshaw is hoping to be recovered well enough to still be able to compete at the event.

The womens team is without New Zealands top female orienteer, Tania Robinson, due to ineligibility for the event. The team also features Lisa Moen, who has made the team after a recent competitive comeback to the sport.

The full team is:

Penny Kane (Hawkes Bay OC)
Lise Moen (North West OC)

Men
James Bradshaw (Counties Manukau OC)
Greg Flynn (North West OC)
Neil Kerrison (Orienteering Taranaki)
