House blows apart while being towed

Police are advising motorists in the Hawke's Bay to expect delays on State Highway 50a - after a house being towed on a trailer blew apart.

The incident occurred just south of Omahu Road.

Pieces of the house are littering the road - and one lane is likely to remain closed until the area has been cleaned up.

Traffic is still able to move but delays are likely for some time.
