Police appeal for witnesses - Bay Road, Kilbirnie incident

Wellington Police are appealing for sightings of a young male who approached a person for money on Bay Road in Kilbirnie, Thursday 16th of July.

The incident occurred outside Tony's Tyre Service between 9pm and 9.30pm.

A young male approached a member of the public and asked for money.

He was seen in possession of what has been described as a toy gun.

He is described as being 11 - 14yrs old with a very dark complexion (possibly African) and wearing a black baseball cap.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the Bay Road, Kilbirnie area and may have witnessed this incident or seen the young male with the toy gun.
