Police appeal - Bidwell Street, Mt Cook incident

Wellington Police are appealing for information and sightings of a male who asked a young female for sex in Mt Cook, then assaulted her when she said no.

The incident occurred on Sunday the 19th of July, outside numbers 25 to 31 Bidwell Street, Mt Cook.

At around 6am to 6.30am, the male approached the female and asked her for sex. After the female turned the male down, he assaulted the young victim and tried to prevent her from getting help.

The male is described as a dark skinned Caucasian between 18 and 25 years old, approximately 5' 6" tall with a slim build. He was wearing blue denim jeans and a light coloured cloth jacket.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident or a male matching the above description in the Bidwell Street area.
