New Zealanders Andrew McMillan and Michael Jack swam well in the mens 200 Free at the Swimming World Champs in Rome today.

Both swimmers missed the semi-final but their strong swims saw them come in 27th and 40th respectively with McMillan swimming on his best and Jack less than a second short of his top performance of 1:48.37.

Daniel Bell was just outside his best,  54.58sec in the 100m backstroke in 49th.

This evening Moss Burmester swims his favourite 200m butterfly and Glenn Snyders swims the 50m breaststroke.
