Driver dead after hitting tree

At approximately 11.35pm on Wednesday the 29th July 2009, a Subaru car travelling south on the Paekakariki Hill road crossed the centreline and crashed into a tree.

As a result of the collision the driver a 26 year old male from Palmerston North was killed, 2 passengers were taken by ambulance to Wellington Hospital with serious injuries.

Drivers name will not be released until next of kin notified.
