Couple found dead in house

Around 8.45am yesterday (Thursday, 30 July) the bodies of a 43-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman were found dead in a house in Taupo Road, Taumarunui.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the deaths. It is too early to say whether or not the deaths are suspicious and post mortems will be held later today to establish the cause of death.

The Coroner has been informed.

Police are not in a position to name the couple at this stage.
