Police thank public for cooperation during bomb threat
North Shore Police and NZ Defence Force staff apologise for any inconvenience caused during yesterday's evacuation of the Glenfield Mall and some surrounding areas.
We trust the public will appreciate that their safety was paramount and there was little choice but to painstakingly examine several vehicles following a threat that explosives had been planted in them.
The final vehicle has just been cleared (5-10pm) and no dangerous items have been located.
Police say the vehicles all belonged to employees of the same organisation, however there are sensitivities involved and police are unable to disclose anymore details at this stage as Detectives are continuing to investigate the matter.
