One missing after avalance

Emergency rescue services are currently deployed in the 'Greengate Chair' area of Coronet Peak near Queenstown after an avalance occured at approx 1640hrs this afternoon.

Emergency services were advised at 1655hrs and all emergency alpine resources have been deployed to the area where a rescue attempt is still underway.

One male person is believed to be missing.
