Fatal crash causes diversions at Rangipo

A fatal motor vehicle crash has occurred on SH1, near Rangipo.

The single vehicle accident has necessitated the closure of the road control gates at Rangipo & Waiouru to divert traffic away from the scene. All emergency services are in attendance.

It is unknown how long the road will be closed for to enable the investigation into the exact cause of the crash to be completed.
