Chapman Tripp Senior Solicitor Michael Moyes has been appointed to the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra’s Board of Trustees.
The nationally recognised orchestra is the Auckland region’s only professional symphony orchestra, and presents a full season of symphonic work throughout the year. The Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO) was established 29 years ago and has grown into one of the country’s premier arts organisations.
Michael is the youngest and most recent appointment to the Board and looks forward to the challenge. He joins Rosanne Meo (Chairman), Jonathan Baker, Richard Ebbett and Kieran Raftery.
As a keen musician (Michael plays the piano), the orchestra is a cause that strikes a chord with Michael.
“I started working with the APO through Chapman Tripp’s pro bono programme, and have come to know the organisation well. I look forward to helping APO build on their success so far.”
Michael is a Senior Solicitor specialising in corporate and commercial law, with particular expertise in intellectual property and information technology. Prior to joining Chapman Tripp, he practised with Clayton Utz in Sydney, Hopgood Ganim in Brisbane and a specialist intellectual property law firm in Auckland.
“We are delighted to have Michael join our Board and believe his experience and personal attributes will complement our team well,” says Rosanne Meo.
