Robbery at Buns Bakery, Ferry Road

At approximately 9.00 pm on Saturday 8 August 2009, two males entered Buns Bakery situated at 268 Ferry Road, Christchurch armed with a knife and a galvanised pipe. Money was demanded from the shop assistants during which time they were also assaulted.

Money was subsequently obtained by the offenders from the till and cigarettes stolen from the cigarette dispenser.

Both males had their faces covered and were wearing hoodies.

Police ask that if anyone has seen these two males or any other activity in the Ferry Road area at approximately 9.00 pm Saturday 8 August 2009 that they contact the Christchurch Central CIB and speak to Detective Sergeant Leairne DOW.
