One dead in crash near Timaru

At about 1220hrs today a crash occured between a truck and a 4 x 4 vehicle on State Highway one between Timaru and Tumuka.
One person died at the scene and a full crash investigation is underway. The deceased is believed to have come from the Timaru area
The coroner will investigate the death.
Further details will be released from the Timaru Police later this afternoon.
