Diesel spill keeping road closed after crash

A truck and another vehicle have collided on State Highway 29 in the Lower Kaimai, Western Bay of Plenty District.

The truck has leaked diesel onto the roand and into the river, and the State Highway will be closed until it can be cleared and cleaned up.

This has therefore closed the main route through from Matamata to Tauranga until further notice.

It is understood that there are only minor injuries involved as a result of the crash.
