Seven injured after Kaikoura crash

At about 1705hrs on Tuesday 18/08/09, there was a 2 vehicle head on collision just south of Kaikoura.

The vehicles involved were a camper van with 4 occupants, and a car with 3 occupants.

All 7 people involved received injuries. Of the injured, 5 suffered serious to moderate injuries.

It is believed one of the vehicles involved crossed the centre line before the crash.

Further enquiries are being made by Kaikoura police in respect of the crash.
