Fake pistol pointed at neighbour

At 3.40pm yesterday, Police were phoned by a female who stated that her neighbour had pointed a pistol at her.

The Armed Offenders Squad went to an address in Taradale Road, Napier and located the male who surrendered to the officers.

An imitation Pistol was located at that same address.

It is an offence to point anything, that at the time the person believes is a firearm, at a person, and Police take any incidents where imitation firearms are used, very seriously.

The offender will appear in the Napier Court tomorrow.
