58-year-old to face charges after discharging his firearm

At approximately 1615hrs on Sunday the 30/08 , Police attended the report of a man discharging a firearm inside a dwelling house in Banks Ave. As a result of this information the armed offenders squad was deployed and at approx 1815hrs a 58 year old male was arrested without incident.

This male will face a number of firearms charges and will appear in Court on Monday morning. Police seized a large amount of firearms and ammunition from the address. Police found the bodies of two cats inside the house which had been shot by the male.
