WELLINGTON

Police are advising motorists of three road closures in the Wellington region due to flooding.

Harcourt Werry Drive in Lower Hutt is closed from Connelly Street to Taita Drive due to rain water flooding the road. Block Road near Melling train station is also closed - due to the high water level of the Hutt River.

These closures are expected to remain in place for up to 3 hours (until approximately 7.00am Monday).

Grays Road between Pauatahanui and Plimmerton is also closed due to sections of the road being completely submerged. Police have closed Grays Road from the intersection with Mo Street (Plimmerton) and Paekakariki Hill Road. Rain in this area has now eased and Police will reopen the road as soon as it is safe to do so.
