Unlike most other sunscreens, which use chemical blockers, zinc oxide puts a physical barrier between the skin and the sun and is water resistant for four hours. Think of it as an undetectable veil covering your face and body gives a very high level of SPF 30+ UVA + UVB protection as well as having powerful antioxidants and an anti-pollution film that neutralises environmental aggressors.

“Zinc oxide has so many advantages over chemical blocking agents,” says Jody. “It doesn’t break down in the sun like chemical blocking agents do. It’s anti-inflammatory used safely for years in products like baby creams and calamine lotion, and most importantly, it provides protection against heat damage such as UVB rays and the deeper-penetrating UVA rays which most chemical sunscreens don’t block.
