Serious Motor Vehicle Collision

An 85 year old female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Brighton Road Parnell at about 7.15p.m. this evening.

The woman received serious injuries and is currently in Auckland hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle has been identified and interviewed. Brighton Road was closed to traffic for approximately two hours whilst the Serious Crash Unit conducted an examination of the scene.

No charges have been laid and inquiries into the incident are currently being made by Auckland Police into the incident.

The Serious Crash Unit would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the coillison in Brighton Road this evening.
