Christchurch homicide investigation

Christchurch Police are conducting a homicide investigation after a body was located at a house in Burrows Place, Christchurch today (Monday 14th September 2009).

At approx 6:15pm police were called to the address where they located a deceased male and a badly injured female. The female was transported to hospital where she is being treated.

The scene, including the house, has been secured and a detailed scene examination will be commenced in the morning. Police will be continuing investigations through the night.

There will be no further media release until later on Tuesday 15th.
