Fatal Motor Accident New Brighton Christchurch

Christchurch Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred at Estuary Road, South New Brighton, Christchurch on Wednesday 16 September 2009.

At 6.20pm a motor vehicle has hit a power pole on Estuary Road, New Brighton. There were four occupants in the vehicle when the vehicle crashed. All four occupants were taken by Ambulance to hospital. One of the persons died on route to hospital.

Crash investigators are currently at the scene. At this stage the cause of the crash is unknown.

The name of the female victim is not able to be released at present.

No further information is being released at this stage until further enquiries into the cause of the crash are completed.
