Fatal crash in Whangaparaoa

 THere has been a fatal accident on Whangaporoa Rd near Doyly Rd that occurred at 1430hours. A car crossed the centre line and crashed head on into an oncoming vehicle. The driver of the car that crossed the centre line is deceased. He was the sole occupant. There were two occupants in the oncoming vehicle. One of those occupants is status 1 and the other occupant is status 2. There is a diversion in place at Doyly/Whangaporoa and Brightside/ Whangaporoa. I am not aware of the ages or genders of the persons involved but will apdate this message as more info becomes available.
