Person with gun at St Heliers church

About 2:00 pm on 21 Sept 2009 police were called by staff at the St Heliers Presbyterian Church in St Heliers Bay Road, St Heliers.

A person who is known to the staff at the church arrived there and showed them a knife and a hand gun. The staff then retreated to another office and called police.

Police cordoned of the area and checked the church and the offender's address. They located him at home and he was taken into custody.

No one was injured.
