Man killed in road crash is named

A motorcyclist who died in a road crash in Palmerston North on Sunday (20 September) has been named as 32-year-old Ross David Grant from Pahiatua.

The crash happened about 3.45pm on Apollo Parade when the motorcycle Mr Grant was riding went out of control on a bend. He came off the bike and it is believed that he then slid into a traffic sign.

No other vehicle or person was involved.

An investigation into the crash is underway and anyone with any relevant information is asked to contact Palmerston North Police on 06 351 3600.
