Diesel spill causes delays

Police are advising northbound motorists of lengthy delays on State Highway One out of Wellington.

A diesel spill on the Ngauranga Gorge had forced the closure of two Northbound lanes while the spill is being treated.

Motorists can expect delays of up to an hour - with Police having just opened a second lane to vehicles.

Meanwhile 2 vehicles have crashed on the Wainuiomata Hill Road, forcing the closure of one lane. At least one of the vehicles has rolled and Police are advising motorists to expect delays of up to 45 minutes in this area. It is not yet known if there are any injuries to any people as a result of this crash.
