Aggravated Robbery of Kingston Foodmarket

WELLINGTON

At about 11am on Monday 28th September 2009 an Aggravated Robbery occurred at the Kingston Foodmarket situated at 38 Quebec Street, Kingston, Wellington.

Two males entered the store and physically assaulted the lone male store keeper whilst taking a quantity of cigarettes and cash from behind the counter. The store keeper was shaken but not injured.

The offenders were both last seen running down Halifax Street.

The offenders are described as follows:

Male 1:
• Polynesian or Maori
• Aged approximately late teens to mid 20's
• 6 foot tall
• Solid build
• Wearing a white t-shirt with a black design on both the front and back and a white beanie

Male 2:
• Polynesian or Maori
• Aged approximately late teens to mid 20's
• Approx 5 foot 8 inches tall
• Medium build
• Wearing a dark colored jacket and dark pants

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw these males in the vicinity of the Kingston Foodmarket on the morning of Monday 28th September 2009 or has any information that will assist the investigation.
