Police close road due to armed incident

 Police have closed SH 2 between Waipukarau and Norsewood.

There are diversions in place; SH 2 to Hatuma Rd to Ngahape Rd to Tourere Rd to Ormondville Te Uri Road to Matamau Ormondville Rd and then back onto SH 2 at Matamau.

We do not know at this stage when the road will be reopened as it is closed due to an armed incident in the area.
