Search on after submerged yacht found on Lake Tekapo

 At approximately 10.30pm last night (21/10/2009) a boat with three persons on board was reported missing on Lake Tekapo. The boat failed to return from a fishing trip. The police, assisted by an Iroquois helicopter from the nearby military camp commenced searching. At approximately 3:30am the helicopter located the submerged boat. There was no sign of the occupants.

Lake Tekapo police are continuing the search this morning
