Boy's death referred to coroner

Police attended the sudden death of a 10-year-old boy at a Dargaville residence yesterday morning.

A firearm was involved, but Police are not treating the death as suspicious.

A post mortem will be carried out on the child and the matter will be referred to the coroner.
