Elderly man dies after falling into fire

At approximately 5.10pm Police and Emergency services were called to a lifestyle block in Hatfields Beach, Rodney where a 79 year old male had been found deceased.

It is believed he was attending to a small controlled fire that he had earlier lit, and has fallen into the fire. At this stage there are no suspicious circumstances and the matter will be referred to the Coroner.

The deceased was located by a family member however other members are yet to be advised so no further details are currently being released.
