WELLINGTON CITY

Police say motorcycle riders at a Wellington protest have been orderly and no arrests made.

"The protesters have been well behaved today and we have not had to deal with any serious incidents," says District Road Policing Manager, Inspector Peter Baird.

"We've worked alongside organisers and community partners in the lead-up to this event to minimize disruption and safety risks. Given the large volume of people involved, we're very happy with the way things have gone".

Inspector Baird also thanks the Wellington public for their patience during the motorcycle convoys from Porirua and Lower Hutt into Wellington City this morning.

There were no traffic delays after the protest as people made their way out of the city.
