Police seek to identify injured cyclist

AUCKLAND

At 12:45pm today (10/12/2009), Police attended an injury crash in Glen Innes.

A male cyclist has fallen from his bicycle and was taken to Auckland Hospital with serious head injuries.

Police have been unable to identify this rider to date.

Description of Rider:

Male Caucasian 60's
Medium build with white hair and blue eyes.

Wearing cycling clothes with the words 'Cycle City Auckland' on his top. Black cycle shorts and silver Nike cycle shoes.

Cycle Description:

Black colour (predominantly)
Silver (chrome/shiny) front forks
Yellow/gold printing (of brand name etc)
The rims are silver and metallic red in colour
The bracket that holds the handle-bars is a canary yellow colour

Brand: CIOCC

This bike is a racing bike made of carbon fibre. It is a top end bike and looks to belong to a cycling enthusiast.

The helmet is a deep blue coloured and is again a high end product.
