Child hit by car

At about 1.15pm today, Police attended an incident in Mt Wellington, Auckland where a vehicle reversing out of a right of way hit a 2 year child which ran onto its path.

The child suffered head injuires and impact marks to her body.

Ambulance were also in attendance and have categories her injuries as critical but not life threatening. The child has been taken to the Starship Hospital for further treatment.

The Police Serious Crash Unit are investigating.
