Child dies after being runb over in driveway

At about 5pm yesterday, Police and Ambulance attended an incident in Mangere where a 2 year old was run over by a vehicle on her home driveway in Mangere. Both the child and her mother were hit by the vehicle.

Both sustained critical injuries which were life threatening and were tansported to Middlemore hospital.

The child is now deceased and mother is still in a critical condition.

The Police Serious Crash Unit are investigating.
