HUNTLY

On the 24th December 2009 at about 1pm a car with one middle aged male was travelling west bound on Rotowaro Road Huntly.

He was seen weaving within his lane by a following motorist.

Approximately four kilometres from Huntly the car failed to take a right hand bend and left the road down a 10 meter bank.

The car landed upside down in a creek partially submerged.

Passing members of the public pulled the man from his car and gave CPR but where unable to revive him and he died at the scene.

Police would like to thank the members of the public who were very courageous in trying to revive him.

Police inquiries are still ongoing as to the cause of the accident. There appears to be no environmental factors that caused the accident.

The deceased's name will be released once all of the immediate family have been informed.
