Woman suffers injuries in home invasion

About 0200 this morning police were called to a home invasion in the Bayview, North Shore area.

A number of offenders entered a house and during the burglary assaulted a 48 year old woman at the address with a crow bar. The victim suffered injuries to her head and was taken to hospital as a result of the assault.

Police are speaking to witnesses and examining the scene.
