Police car stolen in Christchurch

At about 2330 on Saturday night a Police patrol car was unlawfully taken from a Police alcohol check point in Hornby Christchurch.
The Patrol car was located a short time later undamaged.
A Police member was injured while attempting to stop the offender taking the car and was taken to Christchurch hospital by ambulance and was later discharged.
The member has minor-moderate injuries.
Enquiries are continuing to locate the offender.
