Unexplained Death at Tokoroa being investigation

"Tokoroa Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 33 year old Tokoroa male overnight on Friday 8 January / Saturday 9 January 2010.

Family members discovered the body at a St Andrews Drive dwelling in Tokoroa., on Saturday morning. The dwelling was owned and occupied by the dead male.

Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Turner said that a post mortem was conducted in Tauranga on Sunday. The cause of the death has yet to be determined.

Tokoroa Police are keen to speak with anyone who was in the St Andrews Drive area on Friday night or Saturday morning, or any else who may have information.

The Detective Senior Sergeant said that the death is treated being as unexplained, and was not at this stage a homicide investigation.

Police continue with a scene examination of the house, an area canvas of the neighbourhood and continue to speak with family and associates of the male.
