People with an interest in disability issues have an opportunity to have their say on Wellington City Council’s Disability Reference Group.

The Disability Reference Group (DRG) responds to issues raised by the Council and to concerns expressed by people with disabilities. It aims to help people with disabilities understand and participate in Council decision-making processes, and build the Council's knowledge of people with disabilities.

The group is made up of people living in Wellington city who have experience of living with a disability, awareness of the needs and issues affecting people with disabilities, the ability to represent broad interests and good networking relationships within their own community.

Members regularly report back to the community on issues arising from Disability Reference Group meetings.

Applicants must live in Wellington City Council area. The Disability Reference Group meets on the second Tuesday of each month.
