The Solicitor-General has advised that he does not intend to bring contempt proceedings against Cameron Slater for an alleged breach of a suppression order issued in the Nelson District Court.

Further, the S-G has invited the Police to consider whether further charges should be brought under the Criminal Justice Act.

Nelson Bays Police Area Commander, Detective Inspector John Winter, said that he had been in contact with the Auckland Police, and that the matter would be referred to them for consultation with the Crown Solicitor at Auckland. Slater is currently facing charges there under the CJ Act.

He said Police would continue to monitor Slater's website for any additional breaches.
