AUCKLAND

The Big Day Out at Mt Smart Stadium was great fun yesterday.

I went along because I wanted to see Muse. They were as good as I had expected and the laser show topped it off well.

My favorite show of the day was Calvin Harris who had the whole boiler room moving as one as he and his band ripped out 'are you ready for the weekend'. I thought they could easily have been on the main stage with a performance  like that.

I also saw Dizzy Rascal, Concord Dawn, Minuit  Kasabian, Powderfinger, and Kora.

I would have also liked to see Gin Wigmore and Lady Hawke, but missed them due to clashes.
