One dead after car hits power pole

At about 4:30 this morning, a vehicle collided with a power pole killing a female occupant. The crash occurred in Hopkins Road, Matamata, and brought down power lines. The vehicle rolled onto its roof after striking the power pole, coming to rest on railway tracks.
