Power lines down after crash

At approximately 5am this morning a car has lost control and rolled into a power pole on Riverbend Road, Napier.

It is unknown if there were any injuries as the occupants had left the scene prior to Police arrival.
As a result of the crash power lines have come down onto the road.

The local power company is in attendance to carry out repairs however the road will be closed from Willowbank Ave through to Waverley Road until further notice.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
