Trucks crash - State Highway 3 Te Kuiti

Two trucks crashed on State Highway 3 Te Kuiti, near Te Kumi Road. The crash occurred at 10:08 and initial reports were that one person received moderate injuries. It is now believed the injured woman has significant injuries and has been taken to hospital in a serious condition. The NZ Police serious crash unit and commercial vehicle investigators are currently at the scene. Traffic is flowing but delays can be expected in the vicinity while the crash site is cleared.

An update - Unfortunately it can be confirmed that the injured person from this crash has died. The deceased is a male aged 78, not a female as previously advised.
